Chanel But Like.. Not $10K

Do I have the disposable income to spend on luxury? No. Do I admire luxury in all of its glory? Yes. Can I get the best of both worlds? Absolutely. While this post is focused on Chanel, my method can be applied to any brand you want to reference in your clothing, whether it's mainstream or designer. It's all about the vibe.

Before jumping in, there are two things you must understand when it comes to fashion.

1) You don't need millions to look like millions. I don't consider myself wealthy and I'm not one to spend carelessly, but I know I can create a fire outfit! 2) Style is personal. You can't buy it, receive it in the mail, or inherit it. Your appearance is your own expression. If you do not consider yourself fashionable or have 'style,' trust me, you do. We all see you.

This is my secret sauce: What is distinctive about a brand? For Chanel it's black and white, tweed, pearls, and the Little Black Dress. It's not difficult to find items that look like tweed or look like real pearls. Honey, you can find a black dress at Target. It's not so much where you buy the look, rather, what resembles the designer; and always remember quality. Most of the items I styled below are from Zara, which I highly recommend shopping through because the brand celebrates high fashion at reasonable costs, and you can often find pieces that mimic those of high-end designers. I whipped out tweed, a LBD, and accessorized according to my style. It's not rocket science, just Chanel under $100.
